About Barry
Meet Barry. The man behind the magic.
Barry’s fascination with magic began with his grandfather making a coin appear from behind his ear. A visit to his first magic show at seven left him wondering how the impossible could feel so real.
Years later, that curiosity became a hands-on passion for close-up magic. Today, Barry brings it to private parties and corporate events across Sydney, inviting guests into the experience one unexpected moment at a time.

What kind of events does Barry perform at?
Private parties and corporate events across Sydney. Birthdays, anniversaries, family gatherings, dinners, team celebrations and client functions all work well, because the magic happens up close and adapts to the room.
Is it for children or adults?
Both. Barry shapes the performance around who is watching, so a room of ten-year-olds and a room of executives each get a show that feels made for them. Tell him about your guests and he will pitch it right.
How long does a performance run?
It depends on the event. Barry can mingle through a longer function or perform a tighter set for a smaller group. Tell him about your event and the time you have available so he can recommend a suitable format.
Where does Barry travel to?
Barry is based in Sydney and performs across the city and surrounds. If your event is further afield, mention the location in your enquiry and he will let you know what is possible.
What space or equipment is needed?
Very little. Close-up magic is designed for ordinary rooms, dinner tables and standing crowds, without a stage. Share a few details about your venue and Barry will confirm anything he needs.
Does Barry teach magic?
